Event Details

Dr. Elaine Yuen-Phin Lee from the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, The University of Hong Kong, and Prof. Gigin Lin from the Department of Radiology, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (CGMH), Taipei, are co-hosting the Gynaecological Imaging Observership Programme, a CGMH–HKU joint initiative. This immersive, six-month clinical shadowing experience is designed for radiologists or physicians with a special interest in gynaecological imaging, and will run across both institutions in Hong Kong and Taipei.

Participants will observe a wide range of imaging examinations — including MRI, CT and PET/CT — while gaining specialized insights into diagnosing complex gynaecological conditions, with a particular focus on gynaecological cancers. Through involvement in reporting sessions, multidisciplinary case discussions, daily case reviews with faculty, and research meetings, observers will deepen their understanding of advanced imaging techniques, diagnostic workflows, and academic activities in tertiary referral centres. Please note that this observership does not confer clinical privileges; participants may not independently perform diagnosis, treatment, or invasive procedures. The programme is self-funded, and interested applicants are encouraged to apply at least six months before their planned start date.
