Professors Henry Ka Fung Mak, Peng Cao, Eva Yi Wah Cheung, and Jianpan Huang from the Department of Diagnostic Radiology attended the 34th Annual Meeting of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM), held in Cape Town, South Africa, in May 2026. The Department had a strong presence at the conference, with students contributing a total of 12 accepted abstracts, including 2 oral presentations and 3 power pitches. A highlight of the meeting was PhD student Ziyan Wang receiving 2nd place in the prestigious ISMRM Young Investigator Awards (YIA), a recognition that underscores the Department's commitment to nurturing the next generation of MR researchers. The ISMRM Annual Meeting continues to serve as the leading global platform for advancing magnetic resonance science and its clinical translation.
